Heidi’s previous professional experience as an Occupational Therapist gives her a foundation of expertise in breaking down daunting long term goals into minute short term steps which can be measured and accomplished. Heidi empathetically guides her clients to feel comfortable, supported, and increasingly self-confident. Within the coaching alliance, action plans which feel achievable and realistic are formulated and goals are consistently met. Heidi is passionate about the capacity of her clients to bring her message to fruition, “Transform your stumbling blocks into stepping stones.” Her areas of specialization provide empowerment and encouragement to a variety of clients.
A primary area of specialization is Divorce Coaching. Heidi coaches men and women through all phases of divorce and post-divorce to bring about a more positive process resulting in strength, confidence and success. Based upon her personal and extensive professional experience with the divorce process, Heidi empowers her clients to successfully navigate through all the changes that permeate life during divorce, including social, parenting, career, and financial upheaval. Coaching provides a combination of emotional and practical support which serves to identify and accomplish goals within this challenging life transition and approach this “reinvention” with an organized plan and a positive attitude. Clients are empowered to create the new life that they choose for themselves. Heidi is currently the Director of the National Association for Divorce Professionals (NADP) Long Island Chapter.
A second area of specialization is Dating Coaching. This area is sometimes a natural progression from divorce coaching. When clients have gone through a healing and personal growth process, many are ready to begin exploring companionship again and to eventually bring the love that they desire into their new life. Re-navigating the world of dating can be extremely challenging, particularly after being “out of the game” for many years during a long marriage. Heidi empowers clients through a step by step program which builds self-confidence, hones judgment skills, and provides dating success strategies that work. Many clients, who have not been married previously, benefit from dating coaching with Heidi as well. Over the past nine years, Heidi has emerged as a NY area expert in the “moving-on” process and her work with individuals and groups empowers many to move from “Breakup to Breakthrough.”
Life Coaching for life transitions brings a variety of clients to work with Heidi including those involved with career change, empty nest, and significant life decisions. Additionally, communication coaching for personal and professional life is highly effective in cultivating, enhancing and deepening relationships. Life balance coaching for a variety of clients including parents of children/adults with special needs and professional women has helped to create sustainable change in the lives of many. Individual and group options are available for this powerful area of coaching.
Heidi’s specialty in Coaching For Professional Groups and Leadership Development continues to expand to varied groups from attorneys to health care providers to professional networking groups. She has earned an advanced coaching certification in Leadership Development: Energy Leadership Index – Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) which involves a powerful assessment and debrief. Themes for workshops which include enhanced communication skills, team building, goal setting success, and improved life balance are met with extremely positive feedback and productive results which keeps teams closer to their mission and creates relationships which are more productive and constructive.
